How is a partner earning calculated?
Every earning follows the same four lines. The fee comes from the fee card in your signed partner agreement. GST is added only if your GSTIN has been verified. TDS is deducted as per the applicable provision. What remains is the net payout. The values below are placeholders until the business confirms them, and the final numbers always come from your agreement.
| Line | What it means | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Partner fee for the case | Set per service in your agreement | [Fee card] |
| Plus GST | Added only if your GSTIN is verified | [Rate] |
| Less TDS | Deducted as per the applicable provision | [Rate] |
| Net payout | What is paid to your verified account | [Amount] |
What is TDS on partner fees, and who is it for?
TDS stands for tax deducted at source. When StampMitra pays a partner fee, income tax law may require a part of it to be deducted and deposited with the tax authorities on the partner's behalf, instead of the partner paying that part later. The glossary entry gives the short definition.
The provision and rate that apply to partner fees are [TDS section and rate]. We do not quote section numbers or rates on this page, because the tax provisions are revised from time to time and the correct figures are the ones in your agreement and on your statement. The Income Tax Department publishes the current provisions, and your own tax adviser can tell you how the deduction affects your return.
Every deduction appears in your ledger against the earning it relates to, so you can match it to your tax records. The portal also gives you a tax summary for the year to download.
When and how are partners paid?
Approved earnings are batched on a fixed payout cycle: [Payout day] each [cycle]. The batch is paid to your verified bank or UPI account, and a statement is emailed with the payout. You also receive emails when an earning is released, when a payout is paid, and when one fails.
Earnings are normally released when a case is completed, which is why proof of delivery or the final signature matters. A case that is still open has no earning to batch, so closing cases promptly is the simplest way to be paid sooner.
How do you set up and protect your payout account?
Add a bank or UPI account in your own name during the onboarding checklist. The account is verified before your first payout, and payouts go only to a verified account. A later change needs a one-time code and a short cooling-off period before the new account is used, which protects you if someone else gains access to your session.
If you have a GSTIN, keep the registration details available so it can be verified. If it is not verified, GST is not added to your fee, so check that the number in your profile matches your registration.
What do the ledger and statements show?
- The ledger lists every earning, adjustment and deduction in one place, with a CSV export
- A statement for each payout shows what it contains, so you can reconcile it against your bank credit
- A tax summary for the year collects the deductions for your records
- Alert emails tell you when an earning is released and when a payout is paid or fails
The earnings and payouts page shows the same calculation as a summary, and the facts there use the same placeholders as this guide.
What if an earning looks wrong?
Raise a dispute on the earning from your ledger. Our team reviews it and replies by email. Quote your case reference and say what you expected, and attach anything that helps, such as the signed file or the proof of delivery. Any adjustment made as a result appears in the ledger, and the next statement reflects it.
For anything the dispute process does not settle, write to the partner desk. Escalations go to the escalation mailbox listed on the contact page, and the grievance page will name the grievance officer once the legal copy is published.
What should partners keep in place for payouts and tax?
- A verified payout account in your own name
- Your PAN, which is used for tax deduction and statements
- Your GSTIN, if you are registered, so GST can be added correctly
- Your signed partner agreement, which holds the fee card and the payout terms
- Your statements and the yearly tax summary, kept with your own records
Review your profile every few months so that your PAN, GSTIN and payout account details are still correct, because a wrong detail is the most common reason for a statement to look different from what you expected. This guide describes how the platform presents fees and deductions. It is not tax advice. The legal notices guide shows where in a case the earning is created.
How do you reconcile a payout with your bank credit?
Reconciling a payout takes a few minutes if you do it the same way every time. Statements and the ledger are designed to make it simple, because each payout lists the earnings it contains.
- Open the statement for the payout and list the cases it covers
- Check each case against your own records of the work you completed
- Compare the net payout on the statement with the credit in your bank or UPI account
- Note the GST and TDS lines for your tax records, and keep the statement with them
- Raise a dispute from the ledger for any earning that is missing or different from the fee card
At the end of the year, download the tax summary and give it to your tax adviser with your statements. Keeping the same routine every cycle means that a mismatch is noticed within days, not months.
